Dr.
Li Liu is a native of mainland China. She came from Harbin, also
called " Little Paris of the East"
which is located Northeast of
China, famous for snow and ice sculpture festival.
At age 8, she was given a tour to her uncle’s herb lab in a Chinese medical
school, the big varieties of herbs fascinated
her and she felt very excited. Also at age 9, she observed acupuncture
treatment on the scalp and the same year, she received acupuncture treatment
for herself. Brought up by her grandmother, a natural
medicine believer with full knowledge of Traditional
Chinese Medicine and Folk
Medicine, her childhood had a strong connection with
healing.
The wisdom of Chinese people feeling healthy with non-invasive technique made her decide to explore the body’s secret. In 1996, after graduation from medical school, she came to America. As a torch relay bearer as well as a team doctor, she served 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta . She had a private practice in Wisconsin for 5 years, then moved to Atlanta in 2001. Although her medical background can lead her to become a medical doctor, she finally followed her heart to become an acupuncturist. Proficiency of medical terminology and creative thinking made her understand each client very well. in order to refine her professional skills, her postgraduate training includes Clinical Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Auricular Therapy, Esoteric Acupuncture, Reiki and Qi Kung. Her experience of colonics, kinesiology and psychic healing also is a treasured resource to direct people to the most efficient healing.
To maintain a high quality service, the client numbers to be seen are limited and she will give you a brief phone consultation before visiting. After initial visit, each client's health history will be studied thoroughly and a customized treatment plan will be given based on the evaluation and most updated research information. Her patients are from all walks of life, between 2 years old and 97 years old, from Hollywood stars to housewives, from professional football players to people in coma. Some of them are from Italy, India, Germany, French, Columbia, Porto Rico, South Africa, England, Jamaica, Tai Wan, Isreal, Malaysia, Canada, Nigeria beside the USA. Sometimes her clients will consult with her about their pets as well! Her practice combines modern technology with ancient healing art as well as attention from the heart. This comprehensive healing system helps healing the person not only his body but also his mind and soul. Dr. Li Liu is a guest speaker for Emory University, Georgia State University as well as for health insurance underwriters. Her talks offer continue education credit for nurses and also trained more than 100 students including physician, chiropractor, nurse, massage therapist and reflexologist in the field of Chinese medicine. She has been interviewed twice by CNN, local newspaper and recently by Atlanta Style and Design Magazine summer edition. Called by her client "Angle of healing", she is determined to unveil the truth of life and educate people to trust themselves to maintain health naturally.
